What we collect and why
- Adoption questionnaire: your contact details and answers, to assess and follow up your application.
- Contact form: your name, email, optional phone and message, to reply to you.
- Newsletter: your email address, to send occasional news about the cats. You can unsubscribe at any time.
The legal basis is your consent, given via the checkbox on each form. We never sell or share your data for marketing.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Ltd., only to understand how our site is used: which pages are visited and which donation buttons are clicked. We do not use advertising or ad personalisation, and IP anonymisation is on.
Analytics cookies are set only when you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. By default, everything is denied (Google Consent Mode v2). If you reject or ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set; Google may receive anonymous cookieless signals with no identifiers.
We save your choice in your browser (localStorage key “mc-consent”), so we do not ask again.
To change your choice or withdraw consent, use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer on any page. This clears your saved choice, switches analytics consent to denied and shows the banner again.
The legal basis is your consent (GDPR art. 6.1.a; LSSI art. 22.2 in Spain). Data is retained according to the GA4 data-retention setting. Google may process data outside the EU under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it
As long as needed for the purpose you gave it for, then it is deleted.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, or object to its use, by writing to mumcatorg@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
